History's Most Costly Cyberattacks | #hackers #infosec #cybersecurity

Cybercrime is the scourge of our time, and is becoming an increasing burden on the enterprise both in terms of resource and money.

The recent attacks on Sony, which resulted in the loss of the games company's PlayStation Network for several days, was one of, and could yet be the, costliest cyberattack in history, according to Business Pundit.

While Sony has never revealed the final impact of the string of attacks it suffered, Business Pundit has estimated the true cost at somewhere between $1 – 2 billion. That estimate seems to be at the top end of estimates.
